2025–2026 Academic Year Spring Semester Academic Advising Meeting Held (2nd Year Students)

Within the framework of the Academic Advising Work Plan, an Academic Advising Meeting for the 2025–2026 Spring Semester was held on May 15, 2026, by Lecturer Utku Sobutay, one of the academic advisors of the Computer Programming Program within the Department of Computer Technologies. A total of 23 students attended the meeting.

During the meeting, students were informed about the following topics:

  • General procedures, determination of rules, scope of advising activities, and communication with staff
  • Education and examination regulations, exams, quizzes, assignments, and evaluation processes
  • Frequently encountered problems and possible solutions
  • Use of the library and available resources
  • Introduction to student clubs and guidance toward scientific, cultural, artistic, and sports activities organized at the university
  • Information about other institutional facilities (cafeteria, sports facilities, laboratories, etc.) and their usage
  • Exchange programs such as Erasmus, Farabi, and Mevlana
  • Access to the psychological counseling and guidance center and the disabled student unit
  • Combating addiction: awareness on drugs, cigarettes and hookah, alcohol, and digital addiction
  • Information on national and international student projects
  • Information about Double Major Programs (DMP)
  • Entrepreneurship-related information
  • Active use of the Alumni Information System

The meeting concluded following the Q&A session.
